Family Treasures Resale Shop

In 1998, Family Gateway opened the Family Treasures Resale Shop, a thrift store designed to house the Customer Service Training program. Located at 423 West Jefferson Street, Family Treasures provides on-the-job training in a retail environment to reinforce skills necessary to maintain employment and develop specific customer service skills.

• Provides Family Gateway children and adults with a wide selection of clothing
• Provides valuable training for our clients in a retail environment
• Serves as a collection point for appliances, household goods and furniture for Gateway Apartments
• Recycles useable clothing for others in the community

Shopping at Family Treasures Resale Shop

The store is open Tuesday – Saturday, 10am to 6pm, and is closed on Sunday & Monday. Cash, personal checks, Family Gateway vouchers, and credit cards are accepted at the store.

Donating to Family Treasures Resale Shop

Family Treasures happily accepts new and gently used items for donation at the thrift shop. All items must be in working order. The following are greatly appreciated at Family Treasures:

• Children’s clothing, sizes infant – 18
• Work clothing for adults
• Dishes, cutlery, utensils, glasses
• Pots and pans, mixing bowls, baking items
• Linens and towels
• Household decorations, including decorative pillows, draperies, and collectables

We do accept some furniture, but please call Mary Franklin at 214.943.5524 to discuss a furniture donation. Furniture must be in good repair, and cleaned before arrival.
