Partnerships

Family Gateway values its many partnerships with local organizations. Our active collaboration with like-minded agencies helps Family Gateway use your gifts of support wisely while also providing the best care for children and families.

Following is a list of organizations with whom Family Gateway maintains valuable partnerships:


Attitudes and Attire
Provides training, counseling and resources, including dress attire, for the women of Family Gateway.


Captain Hope's Kids
Provides infant care and children's supplies, clothing, toys, school uniforms, household products and a variety of other items for Family Gateway.


Comerica Bank
Comerica provides financial literacy classes to parents in the Family Gateway program, helping them to be successful in budgeting and planning their family's resources.


Community Voice Mail
Provides client with individual access to voice mail for employment contacts, job notices and public announcements regarding employment and resources.


Dallas County Community College District
Richland College provides volunteers who assist with tutoring for children, and computer education for adults and children. Additionally, El Centro College is in partnership with Family Gateway to provide a culinary arts training program.

Dallas Independent School District
Provides GED classes that enable adults to complete high school and offers counseling, parent teacher meetings and onsite training for parents and staff.


The Family Place
The Family Place offers group counseling to adults in residence at Family Gateway.


Health Care for Homeless Veterans
Provides services to homeless veterans who may reside in Family Gateway.


Parkland Hospital's HOMES Programs
Offers mobile medical services for well baby care, emergency services, immunizations, and prenatal referrals. In addition, provides play therapy and adult counseling on children’s issues, and assessment and referrals for additional counseling services.

Legal Aid of North West Texas
Provides legal education and individual case counseling to families with legal issues to include family law; consumer law; housing law; health law; employment law; probate/estate planning; public benefits; expulsion of warrants and tickets.


Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance
Family Gateway is an active member of the Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance, which seeks to eliminate homelessness through a community-wide partnership.


Rainbow Days, Inc.
Provide the Kid Connection and Adult Connection Programs to our resident families, as well as summer camps, Kids’ University, Camp Broadway and Outdoor Adventure Camp. Also host special event and holiday activities throughout the year.


The Stew Pot
The Stew Pot offers a summer camp program and weekend activities for children at Family Gateway.


Union Gospel Mission
Provides transportation for outside activities and manual labor for Family Gateway.


Vogel Alcove Childcare Center for the Homeless
The Vogel Alcove provides outstanding day care for the pre-school children residing at Family Gateway and Gateway Apartments.


The Wilkinson Center
The Wilkinson Center offers GED classes as well as extended employment services for adults who have completed our vocational classes; including, resume writing, mock interviews, job search assistance, access to voice mail and email services, as well as appropriate attire for job interviews.
