A Kid’s Place I & II

Kid’s Place I and II provide evening enrichment activities for children at the Annette G. Strauss Family Gateway Center and Gateway Apartments while their parents attend evening classes. The children’s activities include recreation, arts and crafts and story time.

The children have consistent, dependable caregivers who are there for them each evening while their parents are in class, which is critical for the well-being of these children as well as their parents’ peace of mind. Children who have experienced the stress of homelessness require continuity so that they can learn to trust and bond with their caregivers.

Children enjoy a good book.

Parents know their children are in a
safe, fun environment.
